Hi,
I have a user whose sent items folder has apparently emptied itself, also any new mail she sends is not saved in the folder. I've checked the option to save sent messages is on, and looked at her mailbox on the server, everything seems normal. Auto archive has not kicked in either.

doeas anyone know where I can find her sent items and how to keep her sent items in that folder??

Mmm, the only thing I can think of off-hand is to check the Rules Wizard.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem. I have a user whose sent items are working intermittently. Some are saved some are not. Any help?

It looked like her profile had become corrupted, so I had to create her again.

Not much help I know:/

I to have a user whom has the same problem and when she fowards emails they do not appear in the sent items box.
Very Strange I am thinking about reinstalling? Catch Me I AM FALLING

One suggestion is to check if the option under TOOLS - OPTIONS - E-MAIL OPTIONS - ADVANCED E-MAIL OPTIONS to see if the optionIn folders other than the Inbox... is not checked otherwise if the mail was not forwarded from the Inbox it will not put the sent message in the Sent items folder but in the original folder. joegz

I checked the opt to save sent messages and it was not checked now it is and the forwarded messages are now in sent items box. This user however is still missing some of the sent items dunno what to do about that. I wonder if I should try to restore the folder from backup. AnyIdeas
Would be great. Catch Me I AM FALLING

Robros,

Check this:

Tools==>Options==>Other==>Autoarchive

I believe by default if these boxes are checked sent items gets archived down to a *.pst file. To get these items back you would have to run:

File==>import and export==>Import from another program or file==>Personal folder (pst)==>(Browse for the pst file)==?>Then click finish

This will import the items back into her outlook
