Hello,

I am having trouble getting an Outlook 2000 rule to send an Auto Reply mail to work properly.

Mail1@Domain.com
Mail2@Domain.com
AliasMail2@Domain.com

Outlook 2000
Account:Mail1 (default, synchronized)
Account:Mail2 (syncronized)

I have a rule that looks at the recipient AliasMail2@Domain.com and sends a reply using Template1.oft.

Template1.oft has the option Send using Mail2 set.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start Outlook
Send mail to Mail1@Domain.com
This is sent and received (no rule to reply for this recipient)
Send mail to AliasMail2@Domain.com
This is sent, received and the reply is generated and mailed
Send mail to AliasMail2@Domain.com
This is sent and received but the reply is NOT generated
Send mail to Mail1@Domain.com
This is sent and received (no rule to reply for this recipient)
End Outlook
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have had the same results if someone else sends a couple of mail messages to AliasMail2@Domain.com

Both are received but only the first one received generates and sends the reply.

I have tried changing the synchronization setting, but still the same.

If this is obvious to someone else, I will hit myself on the forehead while saying “I should have had a V8”.

Thanks

Raney
