Hello Outlook Gurus!
I am having trouble with a few PCs running MS Outlook 2000. The OS on these PCs is Windows 2000/ win 98.
On one particular PC, each time I reply or forward a message, it seems to truncate the message text prior to sending. If the message is sent to 2 people, one may get the entire message while one may get a truncated message.
The message in the SEND folder always looks as if it was truncated prior to sending it.
We are running VBA macros on the few Outlook PCs, and these seem to be the ones with the problem. So I disabled macros and removed VBA code and tried testing it.
Regardless, I run into the same sort of problem.

Detect and Repair function has not fixed the problem. Any help in this matter is appreciated. I am surprised that I didn't find anyone with a problem like this when I did a search for keywords on Google.

Thanks in advance,
Jay.

The first question is does this happen only with a particular type of format or does it occur on all formats (i.e. plain text, HTML, RTF)?

Is Word being used as the e-mail editor or not? Is someone using a customized form to create the message originally?

Joegz,

MS Word is NOT being used as the email editor.
The message format under Options -> Mail Format tab is HTML.
This problem seems to happen on all formats.

Following are a few things that I have noticed with my Outlook 2000:

Brian Forwards an email to Me and Bob at the same time.
I receive the Forwarded email that is truncated, although Bob receives the entire email.

I once again add comments to the beginning of the email and forward the email to Brian and Bob.
Bob receives everything that I sent him.
Brian receives my email that is further truncated.

I do have VBA code in the Itemsend portion of the 'ThisOutlookSession'. Although removing the code OR disabling VBA macros did not solve the problem.

I think that I am using the standard forms and the standard Forward and Reply buttons from the menu bar.

Please let me know if there is anything further that I can check. Thank very much in advance,

Jay.

I finally found the solution to the message text truncating - problem that I was having with Microsoft Outlook 2000. Hopefully with this solution posted, someone won't be going crazy trying to figure out the problem like I did!

Apparantly, I had an older version of MS Internet Explorer installed on my PC (ver 6.0.2600.0000), that was causing this problem. Updating my Internet Explorer to the most current version (6.0.2800.1106) Fixed this issue!

Thanks Joegz for replying to my email.

Regards.

Jay.
