I'd like to be able to double the initial list of selections of "move to folders" when it comes up. The "default size" of last folders used is just a bit too small. I certainly don't find it anywhere in options.

Are you viewing your folder list? Folders in your folder list are the ones available in the "move-to". Depending on your version of Outlook: home is usually Internet mail only (IMO), work is usually Corporate workgroup (CW). You'll find it under Help-About Outlook.

There is no "default size" as you mention. Perhaps you're storing your stuff on the Exchange Server. That'll happen if you're running CW mode, and your company limits the amount of space you can use. Most companies do that.

If that is the case, you need to create personal folders, then drag those folders you've already created down into the personal folders. That will get them off the server and into the location you designate to store your personal folders (such as your network drive space or hard drive). To create personal folders, hit Tools-Services. If personal folders is not listed, hit Add, choose personal folders, etc. Make sure your personal folders are being stored on the location YOU designate--in other words, check the location of the default to make sure it's okay with you. Give the personal folders file a name, such as maks. It will create a file called maks.pst. If you store it on the network, it'll be backed up regularly; if you store it on your hard drive, it won't.

Hope this helps! And I strongly suggest that everyone learn how to use their folder lists instead of the shortcuts in Outlook. The shortcuts can be wrong, for one thing, and you'll understand Outlook a lot better if you view the folder list. Also, the Advanced toolbar helps a lot and many don't have it open. dreamboat@nni.com

I'm talking that I get a message and I click the "move to" and save it to "work", then another and click the "move to" and save it to "govt", then perhaps another for "jokes", etc. After a while that "move to" has defaults of the last used. My problem is that the list of "last used moved to folders" is about 5-10 folders too small as I save a bunch of various folders, like one for each customer and I have about 10 of those. If I could make this list from the 8-10 "default" to maybe 15-20, that would be great.

LOL, Maks.

Sorry.

Don't use the toolbar button. Instead, right-click the message(s) you've selected. It gives the whole list. You're right that the toolbar button gives only the most recently used. Though you CAN hit the last option in the dropdown too, which will show you the entire list. dreamboat@nni.com
