Outlook 2000 - Pst Issue

Hi, I'm running Office 2000 on XP SP2. I have a user that has a pst file that wieghs 1.5 G in windows explorer but only 280 MB inside Outlook (PST Properties) The user is missing emails... I think the PST was archived and now the user is only seeing mail after a specific date..

What can i do to be able to see all the emails? Any insights??

When you archive, a file called ARCHIVE.PST is created. You'll need to search for that file and open it in Outlook to see the past emails (FILE | OPEN | OUTLOOK DATA FILE.)

As for the filesize difference in the PST, the file probably just needs to be cleaned up. COMPACT the PST file and it should get down to a more comparable filesize. The following site has instructions on doing this as well as some other helpful tips for large PST files:
