Outlook 2000 problem

Running Outlook 2000 & I can receive some messages that are fine, displayed in English. However some emails, even some from people that I get emails from often, are displayed using characters that look like Chinese. The same person can send me 2 emails and 1 will be fine and the other in "Chinese". Can someone help me on this?
