I have a machine on our network which is having trouble opening some PDF files from a shared Exchange 2000 mailbox.
Initially the error message we were getting when opening or saving the attachment was as follows:
"Cannot save the attachment, can't create file: R222.pdf. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permisions for the folder."
I tried upgrading Adobe Acrobat Reader to version 7 and now instead of the message above, on opening the e-amil we receive a message saying "Could not open one or more attachments" and the attachment is not available to open within the e-mail.
If you try to save the message from the paper clip at the top the preview pane, it always opens up to the C:\windows\system32 folder but it cannot be saved.
This problem only appears to be happening one this one machine, all others can open them without trouble. and it is only some PDF's from within his shared mailbox it happens.
I have tried moving the file to the users own mail box and also to a PST file but the same problem occurrs.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreviated.
