Is there anyway to password protect Outlook 2000 to prevent prying eyes from reading the messages? This is in an office environment.

Are you using an exchange server or otherwise.

If not you'll have to look for the authentication box.

Right Click Outlook Icon, Properties
Exchange Server properties
Advanced Tab
Set the NT Authentication to NONE
This will prompt you for your password [sig][/sig]

You can always password protect your personal folders if you wish

Telsa,

I was just curious if you managed to password protect your Outlook 2000 program. I am trying to do the same on my wife's pc at work. If she can't password protect "opening" up the program, she wonders if she can password protect her Calendar and Inbox files.

Thanks for any info you could offer.
