Outlook 2000: Mark as Read Automatically

How do I setup a rule to have mail forwarded to a folder, and then marked as Read? I want everything in the folder to be marked as Read. Any ideas?

To the best of my knowledge that is not possible the way the program is written. Outlook will not actually mark a message as read unless the message is actually opened or the "mark as read" funtion is applied to the message manually.

Could you somehow create a macro to automatically CTRL+A and then CTRL+Q in a folder? Maybe Sendkeys?
