A clients machine is running Win Xp with Office/Outlook 2000 Pro.
When he opens Outlook he gets the message “ Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You do not have permission to logon.

This machine has been running for several weeks with no problem, now he can’t log in.
I have rebooted the server, totally uninstalled office and reinstalled and deleted his mailbox on Exchange 2000 still no luck. This is a new machine with a new user so there is no old profile conflict. Any idea’s?

Thought of that and all permissions are correct.

Checked the users account details? New user? Password issue?

Is the username correct in Exchange for this mail account?

Thanks for your help, but I found it.
somehow he got switched around and was not logging on to the domain.
Once I logged him onto the domain he was able to access Outlook.
