I am running Outlook 2000 on a workstation with the O/S of 2000. I cannot get Outlook to come up anymore. It just stops resonding. The logo will come up and go away and when crtl+alt+del it is not responding. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried repairing using the CD and even reinstalling using the CD but nothing seems to happen? My next step is to uninstall and reinstall into another directory, but I have experience in the past uninstalling Office and reinstalling will not solve the problem. Does anyone know a complete way to uninstall Office other than using the uninstall feature to make sure all the settings and files are reinstalled fresh and no just install from the PC? Any help on this situation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This could well be a name resolution issue rather than Outlook problem.

Check your WINS and DNS settings are good.

We are not using WINS, but how would the DNS effect the program from starting? Its got me kindof lost.

Most likey you have multiple instances running in the background. Do the three fingered salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del)
click Task Manager then processes. Make sure there is not more than one outlook.exe running.
