I have a user that gets an isufficient memory error message everytime he tries to attach a file in Outlook 2000.

workstation spec:

windows XP Professional
Office 2000 (with all updates) connecting to an exchange 2003 server
Pentium 4 3.06, 512 Mb RAM

Any idea??

Thanks

I doubt that this has anything to do with his RAM. If memory serves me correctly, when a user attaches a file, a copy of it is placed in one of the subfolders in his User Data file, probably at the same location as his .pst file. If his .pst file has become huge and bloated, he may not have sufficient space left in that folder for attachments. Wish I could give you a better answer about where that is, but take a look at the file size allocated to him and see if it is sufficient to hold his .pst file. Also, there is an option to compact his .pst, but I don't remember how to do it. It may be that he needs to delete a bunch of files from his inbox, his deleted items folder and then have his .pst compacted. If he is insistent on keeping all of his files, you may need to enlarge his mail box.

Hope this helps.
