Hello All,

When a user closes Outlook, the application closes, but it also displays the message :"Please wait while Outlook exits".

This message stays on the screen forever unless it is terminated through task manager. I have tried detect and repair, removed and reinstalled Outlook to no avail.
We are using office 97/Outlook2000SR-1 ,Exchange server.

Any suggestions how this can be fixed?
Thanks in advance.

This will happen if Outlook 2003 has been used in the past to open the mailbox.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

Hi NortonES2,

Outlook 2003 was never installed on the computer. Computer was brand new when we loaded all the applications including Office 97/Outlook 2000 on it.

So no other PC or Terminal server has ever been used to access this mailbox?
