Outlook 2000 SP3 w/ KB834005 applied - Installed on a Windows 2000 Server SP3 w/ Citrix Metaframe - Exchange 2003 Enterprise
The issue we are having is that users are reporting that Outlook 2000 is hanging when it is first launched in the morning. Basically, Outlook launches then hangs (not responding) when the user makes their first "change"...moving between emails, opening an email, deleting an email, etc... Outlook then has to be terminated. Once the user opens Outlook again, he/she is fine and can work the rest of the day. This is happening on multiple Citrix servers, to multiple users (not everyone), on multiple Exchange servers, and even on multiple Storage Groups on the Exchange server. There is no rhyme or reason to nail this issue down. Since the only thing that is common among these users is Outlook and the version, we are leaning toward an Outlook 2000 issue. I am open to any ideas or questions if anyone has experienced this type of issue with Outlook 2000 as I'm out of ideas. Thank you.
