Hi guys.

Here is my problem:

I currently have a laptop with Microsoft office 2000 pro running on Windows xp sp2. When I am at the office and on the offices ADSL connection, I can send e-mails fine (i have a basic POP3 account setup) The problem occurs when I am on my dial-up connection on the road. I can still receive the e-mails, and can even send small e-mails. Its when I start to send large e-mails (say, over 1mb) that Outlook just freezes on me.

If i have the send details window open, you can see that the progress shoots up to around 50% then hangs. The program then stops responding and I have to ctrl-alt-del out of it.

I have tried the repair feature, this did not fix the problem. breaking the massages up into separate e-mails DOES fox the issue, but I dont want to do this.

Does anybody have a suggestion? has anybody seen this before?

Thanks in advance,

How long have you left it running, don't forget 1mg over a dial up link takes a hell of a long time to send.
If you're killing it after a minute or 2 your being to impatient, you're progbably looking at a good 5+ minutes for that size mail.
Ignore the progress bar in outlook it doesn't relate to much by way of time it's more based around the staps that have been taken.
