Outlook 2000 freezes on startup

I have a client running Windows 98 SE , MS Office Pro 2000.
When she attempts to open Outook, the startup screen always freezes. There are no error messages, I have run the MS Repair and the re-install without results. This installation of Outlook has been in use for over a year w/o problems. Any help would be appreciated.

I know that this may sound stupid, but we've run into a similar problem here. We've had to reboot and have them start Outlook as the first program they go into. Also, I have seen it take a while to start, sometimes patience is all that's required.
