Outlook 2000 freezes on opening

When starting outlook 2000 the outlook splash screen appears and then stays on the screen.
Outlook has been running fine until the other day.

I have searched the web and it mentions something about outlook freezing if your product registration code starts GC6J3. I have looked on the Microsoft website and it says I have to buy a new copy of Outlook. Is this right?

Is this the Corporate Workgroup installation of Outlook being used on an Exchange server or is this the Internet Mail only installation?

Have you tried creating a new profile to test if it will open using a new profile. joegz
