Outlook 2000 Export missing date

When using Outlook 2000 to export the Journal folder to either a tab-delimited file or to MS Access, I do not get the Date. Other fields are correct.
I'm using the file menu "Export" to do this export.
Can anyone provide guidance or code samples as to how to get the date included in the export output?
Is there a file somewhere that I need to modify to get the date included in the output?
Thanks for any help.
