I have various shared public folders in Outlook 2000 (no service pack) on a windows NT4 box running SP5. When I group by the from field and try and drag a document over from the desktop into any folder I get an "can't copy the items property is read only" error. However, if the folder is expanded it copies the document over without incident. Never had this error under Outlook 98. Anyone any ideas why? The documents are not read only, they are local to the machine, they are not shortcuts. Installing Service patches is not an option. [sig][/sig]
