Two questions:
1. When you view your contacts in the phone list view with the icons, what is difference within the contact with a pencil and clock in front of the card? (Not that important, just curious! )
2. When creating a new memo, when I hit the "To:" to add addresses some come up twice under Contacts, why? All are listed once in the address book. Some people with a business fax, cell phone, etc. are coming up in the contacts for email addresses. I hope I explained that right!
TIA!!

Re: Question (1) ...

A pencil and clock = "Activities have been automatically recorded in Journal for this contact". If you want to check any others, look up "About symbols in Microsoft Outlook" in Help.

Sorry I can't help on Question (2) ... I've just moved over to Outlook and haven't yet got it all sussed out.

It's possible to send a fax from Outlook 2000 ... that is why you have your contacts listed once as email, and then again for a phone number, and even again for another phone number. HTH!

Question 2 above...when you "upgraded" to Outlook 2000, the first time you executed it the program recognized you had an existing profile. It prompted you and asked whether or not you wanted to import your address book to your contact list. It's phrased in such a manner to encourage you to do so to take advantage of this 'new' feature released in O2K. Most people click 'yes' as a result. I personally skip that feature - as I would rather stick to the traditional method of pulling from our GAL/PAB. ________

Thanks, for the responses! Is there a way to get rid of the ones that aren't email?

What I've done in the past is remove and re-add the user profile in question. Recreate it and re-populate it with MSExchange, PAB, PST (if used), etc.. The program will treat each new profile as a new user and will prompt again for setting preferences. ________
