We run Exchange Server and know how to share each other's calendars. However only our own events appear on our individual "Outlook Today" screens and only our own events set off reminder alarms on our workstations.
My calendar and that of my boss share many common events and appointments. Is there a way to automatically copy certain new appointments made in my calendar into that of my boss?
One workaround we have used so far is, at the end of the working day, to change my calendar view to By Category, ordered by Creation Date, and select and copy a subset of the day's entries from my calendar to that of my boss. It's a bit long winded, though.
I wondered if the 'setting up a meeting' routine could be an answer, but I don't necessarily want to have misleading 'meeting graphics' next to the appointment - especially if it's not really a meeting. For example, I might want to record someone's birthday on both calendars!
I would be grateful for any ideas.
