Outlook 2000, Attachment opens without prompt..

How do I change Outlook 2000 back to prompt to open or save when opening an attachment?

Hi,

What sort of attachment are we opening, I believe if you have the software installed, when you double click on the icon it will open it.... But I may be wrong..

Sorry, forgot to mention right clicking the icon will let you "save as".

You only normally get "open from here" or "save as" dialog box when you have been a sent an executable file, or a file type the computer does not know.

try updating to OFFICE SP-2

NOTE you need SP-1a and w2k/NT registry utitlity before youi nstall SP-2

I had a similar problem and it was resolved....
