Outlook 2000 Archive Not Appending

Have a user who has setup up (correctly I might add) to archive her calendar. She has separate archives for different calendar years. However when she archives, it is not appending to the archive files, but overwriting them thus deleting previously archived entries. This only seems to be happening when archiving appointments (calendars). We are running MS Office 2000 (Sr1a), using Outlook 2000.

Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, have you been able to solve the problem. I couldn't find anything specific on the MS Knowledge Base on this one.
