Outlook 2000--appointments don't display

I have a user running Outlook 2000 on NT Workstation. His non-recurring appointments do not display in the Day-Week view. If he moves to another date and then back, the appointments appear. They don't print at all.

Originally this user had Office 97 and Outlook 97, but had mail problems, so his Outlook was upgraded to 2000 while his Office remained at 97. I have since removed Office 97, removed Outlook 2000, and reinstalled Office 2000, but the problem persists.

Any suggestions?
