My son's PC (Win-XP/Office XP) had some problems and would not boot. I managed to repair XP and installed Norton AV. Several viruses existed and cleaned them. When running Outlook had a message that MSOERT2.dll was missing and downloaded that. Now when Outlook runs if I have Norton checking POP email I get a timeout error (0x8004210A) and if I disable Norton email scan I get (0x8007045A) Unknown Error for sending and receiving.
I have completely uninstalled Office, reinstalled it and updated service packs, did a complete Norton AV scan, Ad-Adware scanned and cleaned and still get the (0x8007045A) unknown error.
Any clue as to what I can do to recover this without a format and reinstall everything???? He does web page work with Macromedia stuff and don't really want to have to reinstall all his app's again.
All help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
