My Outlook must be overused. It is slowing to a crawl and often times to a freeze. How can I clean this up and have outlook running faster? Never done this before...

bump. can anyone help here? my outlook is still freezing. not sure what to do

Personal or work pc?
How many emails do you have? If personal does your mail provider have size limit?
Silly thought, are you on a dial up connection? Maybe someone is sending you a large file...

it's a PC. I use it for my home business. Does my mail provider have a size limit? I'm not sure what you mean. I dont use gmail or yahoo if that's what you mean. I have a domain and mail through there. That's not the problem, remember, outlook is on my DESKTOP. I dont leave mail on the server.

I'm on a T1 connection.

Is it possible I have too many mail messages in my outlook? I archived several thousand messages, and still I am getting these freeze ups.

Only happens when using outlook, when outlook is closed computer works like a charm.
