Gold Star to anybody who can help our failing IT Dept out:
We have an issue with MS Outlook 98. When a user on our network sends email attachments to an external address the receiver is unable to open it in the file format. For example he will send a Word document and when it is opened by the recipient it opens as gobbledygook and in a .dat type file. There is no specific file extension nor any option to change the file extension. When this document is sent internally it opens fine.
The users Mail Profile is ok, Outlook settings appear fine and the pc does not seem to have any third party software on it.
Any idea? if you need any further info. please advise.
