Outline problem 1

This is probably quite simple for all you guys, but as a Flash newbie I can;t seem to do this. I have a large letter "S" in Arial, however, I just want the outline of the letter, i tried tracing it with the 'smooth' pencil and it looks ok - but still a bit crappy, is there an automatic way of getting the outline?

> type your letter
> select it and press Ctrl+B
> select Modify>Shape>Soften fill Edges from the menubar
> choose 2px-2steps (expand), hit OK
> select and delete the main text and your left with an outline
