I'm Working on adding a few SIP lines to our existing IP office for backup usage.
I have incoming and outgoing working, but I'm haven't been able to control the outgoing number.

Not sure what all info is needed but:
We are using Nextiva.
Our SIP URI is set to "Use Internal Data"
Under Users -> SIP -> SIP Name, SIP Display Name and Contact are all set to the 10 digit phone number.
If I set them all to our main number, outgoing calls work
If I set them all to a secondary number, outgoing calls get "Call Rejected"

Is this likely on my end?
What can I try to fix it?

Thanks.

Are the numbers you are trying to send tied to your Nextiva account? If not they are probably blocking you from sending numbers you aren't authorized to.

Some providers require you to activate the setting on their platform to allow this, Gamma for example :)

Is it possible to use non-Nextiva numbers? (Because that would be better)

Right now I'm just trying with a second number that is in the account.
I haven't found any relevant settings on the Nextiva website.

Nextiva support just responded asking me to set it in P-Asserted Identity field?
Looking now, I think I might remember seeing a field call PAI somewhere...

EDIT:
I apparently had PAI set to none, I guess that is probably the problem.
I'll update once I re-test.

Same result after enabling PAI,

Can someone tell me how these 4 fields:

Local URI -> Use Internal Data
Contact -> Use Internal Data
Display Name -> Use Internal Data
PAI -> Use Internal Data

Map to these 3 fields:

SIP Name
SIP Display Name (Alias)
Contact

I assume:
Contact -> Contact
Display Name -> SIP Display Name

does that mean "Local URI" and "PAI" both map to "SIP Name"?

When you have "Use Internal Data" set, it will use the information from the User's SIP tab. Local URI and PAI would use the same value from the SIP tab. Set PAI to the main number directly in the SIP Line URI tab

For example:
Local URI -> Use Internal Data
Contact -> Use Internal Data
Display Name -> Use Internal Data
PAI -> 1234567890

Where 1234567890 = Main number.
