I set up Exchange with only relative trouble. I have it configured the way i want it however when testing i determind that i can send outgoing mail with no problems but when it comes to recieving eternal mail it doesn't see to be working.... And on the end sent from i get a error message saying : 'Chaser@123consolidate.org' on 6/23/2002 2:35 PM
One or more mandatory argument(s) were missing from the recipient
The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=US;a= ;p=American Consoli;l=MAJESTY-020621183414Z-6881
MSEXCH:IMS:American Consolidated Credit Inc:WONDERLAND:MAJESTY 3454 (000B09AA) 454 5.7.3 Client was not authenticated.

Clearly a authentication problem...but where do i start?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff.

No, it is Exchange 2000,
I fix the problem. Horaaaaaay! I dont know specifically what it was...but knowing that it was a authentication problem i checked the auth settings on my smtp virtual server and changed them to anonymous access. Does this sound like what the problem was, based on the error message i was getting?
Thanks again.

Uh huh.

I was just confused seeing...

MSEXCH:IMS:American Consolidated Credit Inc:WONDERLAND:MAJESTY 3454 (000B09AA) 454 5.7.3 Client was not authenticated.

It almost looked like 5.5 orphaned IMS or something. Good job fixing it. Dan
