Hi, I am having a problem with OE. The mail is going super slow until it finally comes to a complete stop. I keep getting the message that they cant find my server or something like that. I did a check on my OE thru Roadrunner Medic and it says that news service checks out okay - but says there is a problem with mail. Called RR and they had me set myself up as a new identity and it took care of problem for a while but now its back. Any suggestions?? BTW, receiving mail is no problem at all - comes in nice and fast.
thanks!

When you are having problems sending can you ping the outgoing mail server and get a decent response back or is the response also slow? joegz

Open a DOS prompt or command prompt type in the command ping followed by the server name.

For example:
ping mail.swbell.net

then press enter and you should get a response showing the servers IP address and the response time for the ping on four lines.

If the response takes a long time to ping the server then it is an issue with your ISP. If the response time is quick then it is probably something on your system. joegz
