Hi all.

I'm running Mercury with Outlook Express as client, on a small peer-to-peer network.

We have a dial-up connection and although connecting every 30mins is fine for retrieving mail from our POP3 account, it would be usefull if outgoing mail was sent imediately rather than waiting for the next MercuryX Poll.

Is there a way to have the arrival of mail in the outgoing smtp system trigger a poll in MercuryX and conseqently dial the conenction and continue to send the mail?

I have had a pretty good look around the application and I haven't found anything of help. I figure I'll probably have to write my own routine for it but I wanted to check first to see if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

Check out the tools here:

There's something there called mercpoll that should do what you want. You might need to marry it with a policy or a filter.

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?

Thanks for the pointer. That certianly sounds as though it could do the trick.

Much appreciated.
