Hi all,
I have a site that is an care facility which provides phone service to residents some of whom have problems completing international number in time. If a trunk group is NOT ISDN, there is a field for "outgoing end of dial".
Is there somewhere, in an ISDN trunk, that I can adjust the outgoing dial timeout?
Thanx,

I think what you are looking for is the "Short Interdigit Timer" which you will find on the System-Parameters Features form. This controls the time between digits to determine when dialing is done. If someone takes too long between entering digits for a call, this timer expires, and the call is terminated.

Mine is set at 6 seconds. If you increase this, I would instruct the people to press the # key when they are done dialing the complete number which tells the PBX that you are done. This way people are not sitting there hearing nothing until the timer expires.

Hi & thanks for the comment. I've seen the interdigit timer, but it's there whether outgoing end of dial is or not. I've increased the timer to no avail & as you mentioned, I'm concerned that by doing so, I'll increase frustration for other users.
Still hoping that setting the trunk type to ISDN moved the "outgoing end of dial" to somewhere I haven't found yet.
Thanx,
