Outgoing emails disappearing

Hi,

We have recently moved to Exchange 2000 on SBS.

We are finding that the outgoing email (external only) seems to be going out but never gets to the recipient. All outgoing (internal) mail gets to the recipient with no problems.

All incoming mail is received and distributed fine.

Worst of all the problem seems intermittent - so we never know whether the email was sucessful or not.
Also, it seems that it only happens to certain users (can't fully confirm untill we have run a few more tests)

Should we look at questionable Exchange behaviour or is it more an ISP issue?

We had the same problems and it turned out to be our ISP, they did not update their DNS records.

My guess is your ISP.
