My office has a Norstar phone system and when we try to make an outgoing call from any phone, the operator comes on and says that the number is out of service......Nothing has been changed since yesterday when everything was working fine. Can anyone help? The model is a Modular ICS 4.0

What kind of lines do you have a T1 service or regular lines ,If you have a T1 then I recommend to call the provider maybe they have a problem. If you have a regular lines try to call before the system with asingle line phone and see if you can make a call.We need more information,I'm going under assumption that no body change the programming and the resrictions.

Good Luck.

Soco,
If you are getting through to a Telco operator, you have a Telco problem. It sounds as if it were a CO to CO switching problem.

I concur. If you hear an operator giving an error message, it's either the telco or long distance provider's error.

Did you pay your bill (tic)

Sorry....had to.

I'd have to agree with everyone else, if it were the Norstar "Restrictions" you wouldn't even get out on the line. You'd get "Restricted Call" on the display. Again this is under the assumption NO program changes have been made.
