we installed a 412 with a duplex pri card for 2 pri circuits
trunk 5 & 6 we are trying to send the called number

enter a system shortcode
shortcode ?
telephone .s16175551300
line grp 0

also entered the following at x1305 user > shortcode

shortcode ?
telephone .s16175551305
line grp 0
fucntion dial

fyi:
I set up shortcode on all stations to send
there own number .s161755513xx ( being thier #)

all trunks on Pri are in outgoing and incoming grp 0
we do see incoming caller id but can not see when we call
like say a cellphone or any number at the far end that will display caller id
it will say "out of area"
or display no called number

Phoneuser:)

Have you tried sending the full STD code. example
shortcode ?
telephone .S016175551305
line grp 0
fucntion dial

...or try this:

shortcode: ?
telephone: .s0161755513E (E as extension)
line grp: 0
fucntion: dial

it the user has a ddi this should be sent ads default anyway
I suspect that the outbound cli is not being accepted by the line provider

if you run a monitor trace on sISDN Layer 3 tou should be able to see the "Calling party number" being sent by the IPO.

If you are using LCR or CPS not all carriers garantee to send CLI to mobile networks

I set up a shortcode in each user as > for example at x1301
its
shortcode ?
telephone .s161755511301
line grp 0
function dial

for x1302
shortcode ?
telephone .s161755511302
line grp 0
function dial

I will in fact try adding 0 as such

shortcode ?
telephone .s0161755511301
line grp 0
function dial

and do the Monitor

they are using a reseller as AT&T / Custom
tehy have a 5ess
as stated before they had a Definity protocol A
using isdn public / unknown for numbering

4 1 1617555 11

4 being 4 digit extensions
1 being 1xxx for 1000 -1999
1617555 for prefix before extension
11 being the total digits 1617555(plus xxxx) for extension

I am set to line sub (PRI)
provider (Local) if set to AT&T
it will ask for CBC , SDN , Megacom 800 , megacom , wats
accunet , ILDS , 1800

switch type is 5ESS

were passing through 2 Adtran CSU DSU (DSX 0.1 ports)
with channels 1-11 &24 on both as Voice
12-23 as Data
trunks are set up for 1-11 as grp 0 in/out on both Pri
and 12-23 OUT OF INSERVICE and outgoing grp 10 for non-used trunks so they are never selected

since this were working before changing to the IP office its possible i may have set something up wrong

phoneuser;)

For kicks I put the PRI circuits back into the "old"
Definity ....and hooked up a couple of phones
I was able to see:
161715551302 when calling from x1302
161715551303 when calling from x1303
on my cellphone and any other number I called was
able to see this as well ?????

we are using system shortcodes
9 secondary dialtone
[9]1N and not LCR routes

Monitor showing as :
isdn layer 3 pcol
message type = setup
informationelemnet = bearercapacity
informationelemnet = chi
informationelemnet = callingpartynumber
000 6c 0d 00 80m 31 38 31 36 33 35 31 31 34 33 1....16175551302
informationelemnet = calledpartynumber
0000 70 0c a1 31 37 38 31 34 32 34 34 30 31 34
1....16176371234

so it shows calling 16176371234 from 16175551302 (x1302)

the only thing that seems off is the type says:

cmsetup
line type = Q931line 5 call: lid=0 ld=1641 in=0
called(16176371234)type=national(2)calling(6176371234)
type;default9100) pres = (101)

when you look at the config its set for both 5 & 6
as :switch type is 5ESS

If you are in the UK, which I assume from the example numbers you are then
Systeme locale should be eng
Line type should be set to ETSI
clock quality should be network

& OG CLI should be ok

this is a Line provider problem - report to BT (or who ever your line provider is) & expect to have to fight somthing like this:-

You: My personal CLI is not being sent.

BT: Personal CLI is controled by your switch & needs to be set up on the phone system

You: IT IS - the network is ignoring it!

Repeat steps 2 & 3 untill you get someone who knows what they are doing!

We are close to england .....that would be New England
in Boston Mass....home of the World Series Champs Boston Red Sox

I already started a ticket with telco provider and gave them the specifics ....I can receiver caller ID on INBOUND
calls ....I set up in the incoming routing the full numbers
although we only require 4 digits (it seems to pass the full number) when calling out on the PRI and back in the PRI
to the did number

call routing :

incoming: 1302 dest x1302 Joe
since it reads right to left and matches 1302 ....
if I were to put just the 4 digits in the incoming route and a did call to the did number it would pass just my name to the caller or some strange reason(meaning I call a did in the system at another desk within the range 1300-1399

this is what shows up on x1303 when calling 11 digit did #
Joe > Front Desk

joe being x1302

front desk being the did number called (x1303)

I had seen some posts in the past saying to put the full number in the incoming call route and it does in fact send
all the digits

incoming: 6175551302 dest x1302 Joe

6175551302 > Front Desk
shows up on x1303 when calling the 11 digits number from x1302

I thought you were stateside...

2 things. First, drop the 1 and just send area code + number. Second, if you are using secondary dialtone why are you using ? as your shortcode? Try the following:

SC: [9]N;
TN: Ns617555E
LG: whatever
F: Dial3k1

This can be used as a system shortcode, the E will get replaced with the dialers extension number. Notice I did NOT put s1617.... but rather s617...

More important, who is your provider.....Verizon?

If it is you may need to send the number with Nsi6106925555

The "i" tells the provider to look for national code which the big boys here need some times. Also, I think it was said before that the provider may get your number and disregard it if it is not in your outbound allowed table (even though they assigned you the DIDs).

Good luck, try to get the provider to watch your outbound calls and tell you what they see.
