We have a facility tied into our Cisco VoIP network. Recently, they were switched from Centrex Lines to a PRI line, which gives them lower operational cost per month, and greater bandwidth. The problem is that they are a service oriented agency, and routinely call their customers. When they were using Centrex lines for their outgoing call, the number mask assigned to each line displayed on the customer phone. Their outgoing calls now route through the PRI, into a different location, and then to the C.O. This results in their identification displayed on cutaomer phones as the primary phone number where the PRI is terminated.
If that was unclear, with Centrex, they would dial from - 123-4567, and the recieving end woudl see 123-4567. NOw that they are riding on the PRI, they are still dialing from - 123-456, but the recieving party sees - 789-0123, the primary number where the PRI is terminated.
Is there a way that Call manager, or the router can place a mask so that the recieving party sees - 123-4567, when the call goes through the PRI circuit.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you; gwnorth
