outgoing call bar - on/off short codes 1

Hi

I have set short codes for outgoing call barring using short code feature. The feature works for setting it on but doesnt when you enter the code to turn it off. keeps saying call rejected on the 9621 and 1616 ip phones we have in the environment.

Basically, we want to give users personal codes that they will be using to block/unblock offnet calls from extension.

What short codes do you use? I don't see what you want to achieve. Perhaps a short code to enable and disable an ARS form will help you.

enabling & disabling Outbound call bared by short-codes is not the way to achieve this

Look up Auth codes or simply have the user log off when they don't want their phone to be usable (look up hot desking & forced logon)


Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
