Hi Team,

Is there any way to setup an outer join with a dimension?

For instance, I'm joining a location table to a booking table (airline industry) in a dimension. Any report based on this dimension will show me all locations that have bookings. I want to see all locations, and see booking information next to the locations that have bookings and blanks/zeros next to the locations that don't.

Possible?

Cheers,

Thayana

Thayana - I'm still new to WebFOCUS, but I think what you're looking at is turning on SET=ALL. Good luck!

whoops! yep - that's what I meant... that should get her all the info, correct?

Yes, it should. If you need a combination of inner and outer JOINs, then you can EXPLICITLY control it in each JOIN command, using:

JOIN [LEFT_OUTER/INNER] from_fields IN from_file ...

with INNER being the default.
