I've searched the support site, but haven't been able to find a document for Outcalling that includes the directions for outcalling to a cell phone. Does anyone know if such a document exists, or has someone created one I can use as a template? The one on Avaya's website is dated 1994. It's very simple (you answer the phone, it tells you that you have new messages, you log in and listen), but there are always those people in any company who feel the need to have it written out for them on some kind of "official" documentation.

Thanks, in advance, for any effort/information.

Search for audix guidebuilder. There is a real good section on outcalling and you can save whatever sections you want to a .rft file. It's a good tool to create a new hire manual.

Here is the one I give to my users. I have edited it to proctect myself/my company, but you should get the idea. This one works with Nextel/Sprint.

Audix Outcalling: Using Nextel Blackberry as a Pager.

1. Log into Audix. Enter your extension, press #. Enter your password, press #.
2. Select option 6. Press 1.
3. Dial 9 1 XXX(your Nextel area code) XXX (your Nextel exchange) 7243 ***** XXX XXX XXXX (your Nextel phone number 10 digits) *# ***1***1***(your numeric message, I use my extension) *# ***1***2#
Please note: Be sure to try the pager number (in BLUE) to make sure it is valid before attempting to set up out calling. Some Nextel exchanges do not have pager numbers.
4. Press 9, press 1.
5. Press **9
6. On your Blackberry, scroll down to profiles. Select your current setting, which ever is ‘on’. Select ‘edit’. Scroll down to SMS. Select ‘edit’. Be sure that out of holster and in holster are set to anything but ‘none’.
