Having trouble getting outcalling to work on a Legend 7.0 w/ an MLM007. I've assigned COS 8 to the mailbox, unrestricted the VM ports, and tried putting the number in with and without 9* in front of it. I've also tried assigning the VM ports as trunk transfer extensions and remote forward extensions and have turned off all security in the MLM007. Nothing seems to work. Does anybody have any idea what I'm missing?

All VMI Ports are automatically assigned with an ARS Restriction of ZERO.

To see if that's your problem, simply print the LAST PORT of your MLM-007's Calling group and see what it says.

If you can't determine what the problem is, you can post that info here for us to check.

Merlinman has a great suggestion - check the ARS restrictions settings for you voicemail ports. Even though you "unrestricted" them under extentions programming and gave them trunk transfer and remote forward authorizations - if you are operating in Hybrid/PBX mode - the ARS settings will be at 0 - you need to change them to 3.

How do you change the ARS restriction for a single port?

Press Menu, System Program, Start/Exit, Extentions, More, ARS Restrct, keyin Extention Number and press enter - make the change and press enter.

Thank you very much. I'll try that.
