outcalling Merlin messaging

I had some trouble getting outcalling to work on a merlin messaging unit. The outcalling string in the mailbox is set up as (9*xxx-xxxx), I have the two mailboxes set up in the messaging admin with outcalling turned on. The interval and schedule seem to be set up correctly. Any ideas on what it might be that it is not working? Any help would be appreciated.

When you set a calling group as Integrated VMI, the system automatically restricts the extensions in the group. So your voice mail ports aren't getting outside dial tone to do the outcalling. Go to the Extensions menu, and for the last two ports, Unrestrict and raise their ARS FRL to 3.
