I am working with a MAGIX R1.5 V6.0 with Messaging 2.0. Trying to use outcalling to an internal paging system (Like the ones at restaurants, but with text pagers and canned messages). The paging extn is 7131 and works successfully when dialed manually. Outcalling??? huh! it's dialing the extn but not sending the string after the pause, even when dialing outside with the unit connected to a POTs line. I moniter the line after the Messaging system dials the line and it hangs up shortly after connecting, dropping the paging numbers. The dial string is correct unless the Messaging thinks that a pound is the end of the string, dropping the last pauses and digits. ie. 9*nnnnnnn*****50#077#. the 50 is the pager number internal to the paging system, the pound tells the paging system that we are done dialing the pager number and 077 is the message code followed by the pound to signify the end of the page.

Try setting up the strng with *# to end the string rather than just #. I assuming that your have all the restrictions removed for the outdialing voice mail ports.

If you can connect using the GUI through the LAN port, go to the mailbox and look at the outcalling settings there.
