Hi,

I am managing an Octel 250 woth Aria 03.10.09-1
I am trying to figure out if it is possible to specify a '1' needs to be dialed for some Outcalling calls within a certain area code but not all.
It is set-up for 10 digit dialling and works just fine as is for local calls.

Not sure exactly how to phrase this.

You will need to set this up in the out calling parameters. You can define local area codes and other area codes.

It can be a real pain to do and if not done right it can stop all out calling.

I assume the system is in an area code that you need to dial 10 digits for a local call right?

That is correct we have one area code where 10 digit dialing is required for local calls as well within the same area code there is long distance.

The area code I am looking at is 905.
It is currently defined as the local area code and thus does not dial a 1.

So can you elaborate on how yo would do this?

you would need to break down the office codes in the area code in the out calling parameters. So area code 905 you will need to add all of the prefixes or office codes to the table that are local so it can look at the next 3 digits after the 905.

Only other way to do it is to have the PBX programed to tell the difference and dial the call appropriately when it sees the number being dialed.

Ok,

Thanks for that advice I will look into both scenarios.

Hi:

Did you find solution, I am having the same issue.

Outcall notification will work with 416 (10 digit)705 (other area code) but will not work with 647 (10 digit).

Like i said before you need to have it in the local area code table or remove the area code from the system and make sure menu 6 is set to dial 9 only and not 91
