I am trying very hard to get outcalling to work for a Intuity/Magix system. As far as I can tell, the outcall settings in Audix are correct, but it will not process the outcall. Any suggestions?
When you assign ports to a voice mail system 2 things (and probably more) happen in the background that you don't see: 1-Voice mail ports are set with an FRL of 0, and 2- voice mail ports are restricted from calling outbound. Both things need to be enabled to allow outcalling, soooooo, under the extensions part of the SPM menu, set the FRL of the voice mail ports to be 0, and set the restrictions to either toll restricted or unrestricted. Realize that in doing so, you allow a mailbox to outcall to Tahiti, and non-judicious use may be expensive.
The only thing you should have to do on the Audix, is to set the class of service of the mailbox in question to allow outcalling, and the mailbox owner will have to "turn on outcalling"
