Here's my scenario:
I have three different hunt groups with two members each. I need to have the caller id the extenisons send out be the DID number of the hunt group not their extensions. Is this even possible?
TIA :)

you should be able to modify the "public unknown-numbering" and put the extension #'s on the left (on Ext Code), and on the right put the full 10 digit # you want transmitted out, this would be the full hunt group #. You would need 6 entries, to do this, 2 for each hunt group, and also 3 times to get all 3 hunt groups.

If these extensions are in multiple hunt groups, you are out of luck, can't be done. This is also going to send this Caller ID # all the time, once you set it up.

Thx Mitch672,

It is passing thru the inbound callers caller id instead of the group number.

Heres the break down

ext 1 & 2 = boss 1
ext 3 & 4 = boss 2
ext 5 & 6 = shared secretary

1st hg has ext 1,2,5,6
2nd hg has ext 3,4,5,6
3rd hg has ext 5,6

when the ec passes the call out, it needs to show which hg the call is originating from so that the secretary who has the ec turned on her phone can answer the call correctly while she is traveling between offices.

I'm pretty new to Definity so any help is appreciated!
