We are experiencing an issue on a brand new install where we can dial local numbers okay but when we dial ld numbers we get a recording that states "You are attempting to place a call to which ld charges apply, please dial the digit 1 before the number you are trying to call". We have verified that we are sending the 1+number and the only way we seam to ba able to get the calls to go through is to insert an additional 1 in the digit mod for the route. These are PRI circuits from XO (ESF, B8ZS, NI2) on a MXe 3300 with Dual T1 card as well as PRI circuits from Excel (same config, different routes)

Anyone else run into this before?

Dale

Under the PRI protocol try checking the box for Unknown Call Type.

With NI2 the system does not send the 0+ or 1+ or 011+ but instead sends a control character for call type.

With unknown call type, it will send the digits as expected by your ARS programming.

Excellent, this sounds like exactly what I am seeing. I will be headed back up there to finish our cutover in about 30 minutes (final day of cut) and will let you know if that does the trick. Thanks for the help...

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I wanted to say thanks again, that resolved the issue.
