IP406 V2 w/ PRI. Having outbound/inbound fax problems on a super G3 fax machine ie. 33.6 speed. Other fax machines work on same line, this one (which happens to be the only decent one) doesn't "handshake" with the fax on the other end. I assume it might have to do with the fax speed, but there are no settings to drop it down in speed.

Any other ideas? We've been on 3.069, now we're on 3.148 with no resolution.

what sort of PRI line are you getting from the carrier ?

Do they use compression?

I am also having an issue with PRI DID, for incoming faxes. It seems to not handshake. The in house recieveing fax says recieve, but the sending unit does not connect, or send. I have done this before with no issue.
Any suggestions?

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

Hi

Had a similar problem with a fax ( Can ......) The fax technician had to change RX and TX levels for sending and resaving faxes. This had noting to do with speed. All settings on the fax itself.
If it works fine with a other fax, then it is most of the time a fax problem. (Some time the fax is not adapted for the local settings of this country or the local is not correct set on the IPO)

Much luck
