Outbound email being rejected as Sender address rejected: Domain not f

"Sender address rejected: Domain not found", is the full rejection. The scenario is.. An email being created by a unix user on a unix box(unixuser@hostname.domain.com),this email is to go out to the internet. I have created the exception within gw's smtp relay. Everytime the email tries to send I get the following back ..

Received-From-MTA: dns;grpwise.company.com

Any ideas? I'm running GW5.5epsp5m.

couldn't figure out how to do this thru gw. I setup masquerading from the unix box. works now

Is this a new Groupwiase install? Are you having this problem from other systems? And if so is it just going to one domain or any email outside of your Groupwise domain?

No, this is an established GW enviroment. The emailing from the unix box is the new side of it. I have 2 unix boxes that sends 'alerts' out if any transactions fail. The boxes can talk to every domain we test with EXCEPT 'vtext.com' (verizon wireless). I can watch the email go out GWIA, but then disappears & the phone never receives it.
