Anyone else notice that on the new IP Office R3.0 (US) you can dial out without a "9" in front of the number? Any solutions to block this? It is causing quite a bit of problems as customers try it and it works, but it doesn't work everytime so they then get aggitated. Has anyone else noticed this and come up with a solution?

Check your short codes. You probably have a code set up for 1N or 1X = N - This will bypass the 9 and dial the number. Delete these entries.
Check your Phone Manager software after you delete this. Sometimes it won't be able to dial out from the PC because the outbound number (either in speed dials or caller ID lists) doesn't have a 9 on front of it. I have found that a short code XXX XXX XXXX and 1 XXX XXX XXXX = 1N for both, works better than just having 1N or 1X in the short codes. This allows the system to wait for all digits before calling out. (double check 911 works afterwards)

Good Luck
